Pita C. Wild and I met by coincidence duding my artist residency in Oaxaca in 2018 and became fast friends thanks to our common Czech language and life calling. She is such a hard working, talented and imaginative artist, and has been an inspiration to me from the day we met, so it was my honor to create Almas Gemelas in collaboration during my visit to Oaxaca in 2022.
INFINITE CONNECTION ART
A Collaboration of Ceramics, Painting, and Nature
With Monika Vitek
Monika Vitek is also a Czech-American artist based in Portland, and her primary medium is ceramics. Together we created a new series in 2022 which combine styles and mediums, mixing ilmenite sand from the Oregon Coast and Columbia Gorge into all our combined pieces.
From sculptures, to functional porcelain, to small watercolors and giant oil paintings, Monika Vítek and I bring Portland our new series INFINITE CONNECTION ART. Like ilmenite sand is magnetic, we hope that our contemporary abstract work will pull people together and encourage them to explore the natural wonders we have in Oregon.

When it comes to making people look and feel their best in the clothes they are in, Leslie Gilbertson knows exactly what to do. Leslie has worked with an impressive list of celebrities including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Keanu Reeves, Ben Stiller, and many more.
In the summer of 2022, when photographers Matthew Gilbertson and Kholood Eid got married on the magical Mckenzie River, I had the privilege of hand painting the fabric Leslie used to make herself a dress for her son's wedding. This was the beginning of our collaboration in custom tailored and hand painted fashion.

Hunter Noack and I met while I was plein air painting in the Columbia Gorge. He explained that he plays his piano plein air. Soon afterward I was invited to paint live during his piano concert in sunny Sumpter, Oregon in 2021.

During my time as a teacher in China, I had countless encounters with fascinating people from all around the world. One of those people was Korean Singer Song Writer 동욱. We met at Changzhou Technical Institute of Tourism and Commerce where he was studying abroad. With my art studio being in the same building, we had the opportunity to get to know each other and write some music together. A couple years later I was able to visit Korea and record.
